NORWICH – Constance I. “Connie” Abbott, 95, of Randall Ave., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at Chenango Memorial Hospital Residential Healthcare Facility, Norwich.
She was born Aug. 2, 1914 in Sanford, a daughter of John and Lodi Gareinier Garrigan. She was a graduate of Sanford schools and the Bible Baptist Seminary in Binghamton. On July 10, 1939, Connie was married to LeRoy Abbott in Deposit. He predeceased her in 1986. Together, they owned and operated Abbott’s Flower Shop in Norwich.
Surviving are her children, Mary Lou Bromley of Ogdensburg; Larry and Bonnie Abbott, and Gary Abbott, all of Norwich; Lin and Michelle Abbott of Simpsonville, SC; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Linda Pitcher and Dorothy Abbott.
Graveside services will be held in the North Norwich Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
