Helen Tuckey, 75, of Norwich passed away peacefully on Sunday October 28, 2018 at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville where she resided for the last six years.

She was born in Leonardsville, NY on January 15, 1943 to the late Arthur and Myrtle Angell. She attended school in Leonardsville, graduating in 1962 and went on to attend Practical Bible College in Johnson City. On January 28, 1967 she married Roland C. Tuckey in South Edmeston and they shared 33 years of marriage together until his passing on September 27, 2000.

Helen spent most of her adult life in the New Berlin and Norwich areas. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich and with the help of Jeremy Stopford, she helped to teach The Love Class there. Helen loved the time spent with her family. She also loved cats, puzzles, long walks, NY Mets baseball and anything colored purple.

Helen is survived by her children, Carolyn and Chris Jones, of Norwich, and Roland Tuckey, Jr. and Jef Groves, of Buffalo; her five grandchildren, Lori Graham and Daniel Switzer, of Norwich, Stephanie and Nick Lowe, of Earlville, Rachel Graham and Adam Piwonski, of Syracuse, and Christina and Andrew Graham, of Norwich; six great-grandchildren, Kristen and Alexander Lowe, Tanner Canny, Erika and Natalie Switzer, and Adalynn Graham; her siblings, Warren (Butch) Angell, of Utica, Ronald and Lorraine Angell, of Remsen, Sarah Preston, of Cherry Valley, and Mary Lou Hutchings, of Morrisville; she is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband,
Helen was predeceased by her siblings, Ruth Angell, Charles Angell, and Margaret Angell.

A memorial service for Helen will take place at 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, at R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, 116 N. Broad St. Norwich with Pastor Jeremy Stopford officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
