GREENE – Eric N. Boyce, 54, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family at home on Monday, December 14, 2009.
He was predeceased by his parents, Newton and Elizabeth Boyce of Greene. Eric is survived by his fiancée, Wendy Packard; two daughters, Ashley and Amanda Boyce; adopted daughter, Jada Boyce; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Richard Evans, Patricia and Fred Heisler, Amy Boyce; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eric graduated with honors from Broome Community College with an Associate's Degree in Accounting. He was a former land surveyor. Eric was an avid New York Giants and Yankees fan and played in several baseball and softball leagues. Throughout his illness, Eric found great comfort in the Lord.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango St., Greene, NY 13778. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Root Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college trust fund for Ashley and Amanda Boyce made payable to Teresa Thurston, 53 N. Canal St., Greene, NY 13778.
