Valentina “Tina” Root, 98, of Oxford. Passed away on November 10, 2018. Tina was born in Vandling, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Cerar. Tina was predeceased by her sons Gerald and Jack Root, her brother Frank Root, and by her sisters Edna Baldwin, Angeline Cerar and Albine Kilonsky.
Tina is survived by her brother William and Lorraine Root, and several loving nieces and nephews.
Tina was a graduate of Vandling High school, she was also a member of St. Joseph’s Church of Oxford, NY and the Altar-rosary society and she worked at the NYS Veterans Home of Oxford, NY.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Behe Funeral Home Inc. 21 Main Street, Oxford, NY 13830. Graveside service was held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Oxford, NY on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00AM with Father Paul Machira Officiating.
