EARLVILLE – Marion Brown Wright, 90, of formerly West Main St., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at the Crouse Community Center, Morrisville, where she had been a resident since 2006.
She was born Sept. 4, 1919 in Plymouth, a daughter of Ira H. and Anna G. Crandall Brown and received her education in local schools. On Aug. 26, 1942, Marion married Wendell F. Wright in Rochester. He predeceased her on Dec. 19, 1997. A resident of Earlville since 1950, Marion had worked as the cafeteria cashier in the Earlville school for 23 years until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Earlville.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Barbara Wright, Jim and Maureen Wright, all of Earlville; Thomas Wright of Goffstown, N.H. and John and Gwen Wright of Spring, Texas; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Winifred Bowman of Solvay. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Theresa Wright.
Services will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
Burial will be in the Earlville Cemetery in the spring.
