George Frederick Potter, 85, of Norwich, NY passed away December 26, 2019 at his winter home in Dade City, FL. He was born June 8, 1934 to Stuart and Iva Potter in Franklin, NY. He graduated from Mt. Upton High School. He retired from 20 years in the Navy. He worked 16 years as Superintendent of Building and Grounds at Mt Upton School. George was a member of the Rolling Antique Car Club. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Sundown Golf and Country Club in Guilford, NY and a member at Abbey Golf Course in St. Leo, FL, He also enjoyed cutting wood, and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Judith Potter, Norwich, NY and Dade City, FL. He is also survived by his children, Randy Potter, Estero, FL, George Jr. (Jeanette) Potter, Binghamton, NY, Becky Schofield, Tremonton, UT, Jeffrey (Shelli) Potter, Bonita Springs FL, Mark (Shelley) Breckenridge, Norwich, NY, and Richard Breckenridge, Norwich, NY. His Step Children, Sherry Snow (Tracy Vorhies), Norwich, NY, and Robert (Kristin) Snow, Norwich, NY. He is also survived by his brothers Stuart Potter (Kathy) FL, and Gary (Sherry) Potter, TX He is also survived by Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association, or American Cancer Society.
