PORT CRANE – Fred Parliman Jr., 72, of Port Crane, passed away Jan. 14, 2010 at his home following an extended illness.
He was born on Nov. 29, 1937 in Maryland, NY a son of the late Fred Parliman, Sr. and Loretta Mondore Parliman. On June 25, 1967 in South Otselic, he married Donna Yale, who survives.
Besides his wife, Donna, he is survived by his children: Kolene Parliman of Port Crane, Carol Billiter of Edmonds, Wash., Laurie Amatuccio of Unadilla, Donna Harris of Hartsville, S.C., and Fred Parliman III of Marysville, Wash. Also surviving are his brothers, Charles Parliman of Oneonta, Richard Parliman of Oneonta, and George Parliman of Davenport. He left behind many grandchildren including Tanya Mayer and fiancé Eric Beavers, Chris Mayer, Shalisa Amatuccio, Joshua Amatuccio, Kasia Parliman, Shamirah Parliman, Nykesa Parliman, and Iola Davenport. Many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Also to be remembered are his best friends, Roger Enderson, Raymond Lovell and Bobby McIntyre and his Chihuahua Zoe. He was predeceased by his sons, Allan Parliman, Chuck Parliman and a sister Joan Parliman.
Fred was a business owner in Anchorage and Wasilla Alaska, where he operated DJ’s Auto Rebuild, DJ’s Towing and DJ’s Avis Car Rental. He loved to restore cars and attend auto auctions. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
A celebration of his life will be held on May 30, 2010 at Chenango Valley State Park, Port Crane.
