PRESTON – Ruth E Rippo, 88, was called home on April 12, 2010 after a brief battle with cancer at her home in Boca Raton, Florida while in the care of Hospice by the Sea and her children.
Born in Preston on March 26, 1922 she was the daughter of Linn and Elvira (Franklin) Kenyon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Frank A. Rippo and a precious granddaughter, Carole Ann Campanelli. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Florence and Alice Kenyon, Elvira (Honey) Mudge and two brothers Linn (Billy) and Charles (Charlie) Kenyon.
Ruth was deeply loved and cherished and will forever be in the hearts of her family, children, Carole (Robert) Duncan, Dolores (Lawrence Baur) Rippo, Ronald Rippo, Antoinette (Donald) McNamara also eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Also living on in the hearts of her sisters Roselia Moreau of East McDonough, Bessie Burdick of Norwich and her sister Marion Warner of Norwich, with whom she shared a special bond and her brother James and wife Shirley Kenyon of Oxford along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Deerfield Beach, Florida on Saturday with a graveside memorial to be held at the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Oxford, at a date yet to be determined.
