Clifford F. Carlin


Clifford F. Carlin, 74, of Greene, NY, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY, while surrounded by his family.
Cliff was born in Norwich, NY, on June 30, 1949, the son of Frank and Erma Monroe Carlin. A longtime resident of this area, he retired from the Raymond Corporation in Greene, NY, after 40 plus years of service. In his spare time, he was an avid bowler with many perfect games of 300. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and was an outstanding pool player.
In addition to his mother, Erma Carlin, of Oxford, he is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Teresa Stone Carlin; his children, Robin (Andy) Clark of Kingsport, TN, Tamara (Roger Clarkston) Scoville of Marietta, Wendy (Daniel) Custer of Cuyler, Shelley Scoville of Cortland, Shawn (Tabitha) Scoville of Cincinnatus, Scott (Jessica) Carlin of Kirkwood, Tina (Jashobanth) Mohanty of Fort Mill, SC, Becky (Adam) Brown of German, and Shanieka Cathcart of Cortland. He also leaves behind 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Debra (Jere Spathelf) Carlin, Christine Ross, and Teresa (Rod) Flood, all of Oxford; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cliff was predeceased by his father, Frank Carlin.
Memorial services for Cliff will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Cliff may be directed to the Greene Emergency Squad, 30 Birdsall Street, Greene, NY 13778.
