McDONOUGH – Rusty L. Gould, 30, formerly of Norwich and most recently of McDonough, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
The son of Richard and Roxanna Williams Gould, Rusty was born in Norwich in June of 1979 and attended the local schools. Though he didn’t graduate with his class, he did attend classes in later years and earned his GED. Rusty was employed for a time by the Community Work Shop in Norwich, Arby’s, and lastly by Price Chopper. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Norwich, where he held the position of Jr. Trustee. Described by his dad as a “good kid,” Rusty was an easy-going fellow who loved spending time with his son, Dominic, and had a very special relationship with his mother. He was an avid motorcycle rider who also enjoyed camping and fishing. On Feb. 19, 2009, in East Pharsalia, he married Jennifer Gracin.
Rusty is survived by his parents, Richard and Roxanna - “Dick” and “Rocky” of Norwich; his wife, Jennifer Gould of McDonough; his son, Dominic Gould of McDonough; and his step-children, Alicia, Spencer and Samuel Gracin. Also surviving are his sister, Amanda Gould of Afton, half sisters Misty Gould of Norwich and Suzette Dummon and husband Dusty of Afton; brothers Richard Gould and wife Samantha of South Plymouth and Trevor Gould of Norwich; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services for Rusty will be held on Saturday at 5 p.m. from the Bible Baptist Church. The Rev. Matthew Frayer, pastor, will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the Bible Baptist Church on Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Rusty’s family requests that contributions be made for his son, Dominic Gould, c/o GHS Federal Credit Union, 54 E. Main St., Norwich, NY 13815.
