Robert “Bob” G. Anderson, 64, of Steamsaw Mill Hill Rd. passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on February 4, 1960, in Norwich to the late Gray and Beverly (Lawrence) Anderson. Bob graduated from New Berlin High School in 1978. On November 1, 1980, Bob married his high school sweetheart Theresa Lewis in Sherburne.
Bob worked at Valley Ridge CIT, Victory Warehouse, Sherburne Metal, Tyree, and worked in carpentry with a close friend.
Bob had many interests. He was known for his love for his family and grandchildren. He loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events and supporting them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an active supporter of the Sherburne-Earlville Wrestling Team. Bob was very family oriented and took the time to plan family cookouts that had fires with s’mores. His favorite job or duty was spoiling his grandchildren as he could not say no to them.
Bob is survived by his wife, Theresa; and his children Laura and Lindsey Anderson of Sherburne, Leesa (Arden Williams) of Norwich; grandchildren: Landon Andrade, Trenton Anderson, Kiarah, Brielle, and Amari Williams; his sister Barbara Pickerd; sister-in-law Cindy Anderson; brothers Donald (Heather) Anderson of Columbus, and Ronald (Sue) Anderson of Pittsfield. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Gerald and Shirley Lewis of New Berlin, brother-in-law Brian (Connie) Lewis of New Berlin, Ken (Ali) Lewis of Norwich, a sister-in-law Shari Lewis (Jeff Wheeler) of Edmeston, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents Gray and Beverly Anderson, sister Christine Anderson, brother Wayne Anderson, brother-in-law Andrew Pickard, and lifelong friends Roger and Brenda Hatton.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.
Interment will be provided at the convenience of the family.
