Janette D. Fleming, 62, of Smyrna, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. She was born on May 2, 1962, in Sidney, a daughter of Douglas and Joyce (St. John) Parsons and received her education from Interlaken Central School and graduated from Morrisville High School and SUNY Morrisville, with a degree in information technology. Janette married Gene L. Fleming on July 20, 1991, in North Norwich.
Janette worked at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, in the billing department for over 24 years. She enjoyed quilting, crafting and crocheting. Janette loved the outdoors and would go hunting and four-wheeling often with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; her parents, Douglas and Joyce Parsons, of Morrisville; her mother-in-law, Peggy Fleming, of New Berlin; her sons, Brent Fleming and Brad Fleming, both of Smyrna; her sisters, Pam (Derek) Powers, of Chittenango, Carrie (Chris) Casler, of Morrisville; a brother, Kirk (Barbie) Parsons, of Morrisville; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Gerald L. Fleming.
A celebration of her life will take place at the convenience of the family.
