Richard G. Lewis, Jr.


Richard G. Lewis, Jr., 65, of Sherburne, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City.
He was born June 30, 1959, in Norwich, a son of the late Richard G. and Annette (Beauchene) Lewis, Sr. and received his education in Sherburne schools. Richard was employed as a mechanic in several area dealerships and was a truck driver for various companies including Blue Seal (Richer Dairy & Feed Store), Waterville.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #876 of Sherburne, enjoyed playing shuffleboard, fishing with Lana, KJ, Nevaeh and was a big fan of the New England Patriots.
Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Nate (Lewis) Smith of Eaton, daughter Lana Bradley, son KJ Dunmire, and daughter Nevaeh Bradley all of Norwich; a sister and brother-in-law, Suzanne and Shawn Palmer of Oxford; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Dara Lewis of Rochester, and Roland and Terri Lewis of South New Berlin; grandchildren, Mishelle, Andrue and Lilly; great-grandchildren, Jaxton, Ravyn and Emiah; several, nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend and beloved dog Siri.
All family and friends are invited to a celebration of Richard’s life on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post #876, 15 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY 13460.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
Contributions in Richard’s memory may be made to Sherburne American Legion Post #876, 15 S. Main St., Sherburne, NY 13460.
