Clayton Donald Hood Doane, 56, of Chenango Forks passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Clayton was born on March 6, 1968, in Norwich and was the son of the late Clayton Hood and Joan Doane.
Clayton worked as a security officer and worked for many companies around New York State. He had a very generous heart and would help anyone when asked. Clayton donated every year to Toys for Tots and enjoyed donating to turkey drives and several other holiday season charities and was admired for spreading his generous nature to those around him. He enjoyed reading Stephen King and enjoyed film and was a lifelong fan of star trek. He loved to travel and try various cultural dishes, and sharing the stories of his experiences in conversation.
Clayton is survived by his brother Jason Doane; aunt, Billie Knapp; and many cousins and close friends. He is predeceased by his long-time girlfriend, Martha and many friends and family.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
