NORWICH – Margery (Chambers) Trask, 83, of Norwich, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 14, 2010. She was a resident of the RHCF of Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich since 2004.
Margery was born on Dec. 7, 1926, in Davenport Center, the daughter of Flossie Mae and Irvin Howard Chambers. Margery lived on a farm in Sherburne for over 20 years and also lived in Davenport and Norwich before going into the RCHF/CMH.
Margery worked as a home health care worker for many years as well as a Tri-Chem dealer, sold Avon and dealt with many crafts. She was also involved with the Cub Scouts in Sherburne. Margery was well liked by many people and enjoyed life, gardening, planting her flowers, doing crafts, reading, and putting jig-saw puzzles together. She was friendly and always caring and helpful to anyone in need. She made many friends and was a wonderful mother and grandmother to all her children and grandchildren.
Margery married Louis E. Trask on July 18, 1964, and he predeceased her in December of 2005. She is also predeceased by her sister Margaret Davies, brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Metta Chambers, sister-in-law Helen Chambers, step-daughter Cheryl Law and four grandchildren, Mark Trask, Randy Reinshagen, Sherry Reinshagen and Diane Wright.
Margery is survived by her sister, Clara Bevans of Beaver Dams, brothers Howard Chambers of Dade City, Fla. and Don Chambers of Davenport. Her children, Charles and Amy Reinshagen of Hobart, Kathy and Bob Wright of Lamar, S.C., Joan and Curt DeVost of Otego, John and Eileen Reinshagen of Sahuarita, Ariz., James and Robin Sullivan, Jr. of Citra, Fla. and Arthur Trask of Stamford. Step-children Doug Trask of Norwich, Charles (Butch) and Mary Trask of Sherburne, Howard and Deb Trask of Oneonta, and Sandy and Robert Myers of Norwich. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her special friends Ginny Bliss and Fred and Alice Millard.
Graveside services for Margery will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Evergreen Cemetery in Otego. There will be no calling hours.
