PANAMA – Eber Arthur Kinne, 66, of Panama, N.Y., went home to the Lord at 7:09 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010.
A native of Meridale, he was born March 24, 1944, a son of Malcolm and Lucy (Ward) Kinne.
He married Carol Woodburn on March 17, 1966. He lived on Goshen Road in Panama since 1972.
He had been retired but remained very active, especially with his family and church. He served as a deacon and trustee at Niobe Baptist Church for more than 30 years. When the church doors were open, he was there and did many chores around the church when there was no church service.
He will be remembered as a generous and kind man who left a Godly legacy to his children, grandchildren and extended family.
Eber is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters: Robin (Ray) Wadkins of Garrettsville, Ohio, Beth Kinne of Jamestown, and Lynette (Curt) Olson of Painesville Township, Ohio; sons: Peter (Ginger) Kinne of Dundee, and Eber (Jennifer) Kinne of Allegany; and eight grandchildren.
He is also survived by six brothers and sisters: Kenneth Kinne, Nathan Kinne, Thelma Manwarren, Bill Kinne, Winona Wilbur and Carol Rutenbur.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Rivenburg.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at the Niobe Baptist Church, 255 Church St., Panama.
