SHERBURNE – Robert H. Endress, Sr., 74, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006 at Otsego Manor Nursing Home.
Born in Wappingers Falls, on Aug. 31, 1932, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Gertrude Masch Endress. On Jan. 26, 1952, in Glendale, he married Georgianna Vallee. Mr. Endress served with the U.S. Navy SeaBees, and retired in 1997 as Highway Superintendent for the Town of Columbus and was formerly Superintendent of the Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Georgianna Endress at home; sons, Robert H. Endress, Jr. and his wife Gail of Wappingers Falls and William D. Endress, Sr. and his wife Barbara of Sherburne; grandchildren, William D. Endress, Jr. and his wife Amie of South Carolina, Christina Hazel and her husband, Shawn, Sr. of Hopewell Jct., Stephanie Stobo and her husband, Robert, Jr. of North Carolina and Corey Endress of Sherburne; great grandchildren, Lorolee and Robert Endress of South Carolina and Shawn Hazel, Jr. and MaKenzie Hazel of Wappingers Falls; brothers, Paul Endress of Wappingers Falls and Walter Shaw of Hopewell Jct. He was predeceased by a grandson, Justin DeCarlo.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 900 Route 82, Hopewell Jct., NY 12533. Military honors will follow the afternoon visitation at 4 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
