CORTLAND – Jeanette A. Nelson, 69, of Cortland, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, at her home, while surrounded by her family.
Jeanette was born in German on Nov. 2, 1941, a daughter of Harold and Maude Dunn Nelson. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Cortland, and dearly loved her church family.  She was an original resident of the Friendship House where she lived from 1980 to 2010. She retired from Cortland Memorial Hospital and was a former member of the Toastmasters Club of Cortland.
She is survived by her father, Harold Nelson, of Cortland; sisters, Dorothy (David) Young of Hanover, PA and Barbara (Lewis) Young of Weedsport; and her brothers, Gerald (Evon) Nelson of Norwich, Robert (Teresa) Nelson of McGraw, and Phillip (Pip) Nelson of Atlanta, Ga. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her mother, Maude Nelson, in 2007.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bible Baptist Church of Cortland with her pastor, Reverend Harold Comings, officiating. There will be no prior calling hours.
