NEW BERLIN – Lillian Marie Chapin, 86, of New Berlin, passed away on Dec. 8, 2010 at her home.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1924 in South New Berlin, the daughter of Carl & Ellen (Larsson) Lundh. Her childhood was spent in the South New Berlin area where she was a graduate of South New Berlin Central School.
On June 1, 1946 she married Roscoe J. Chapin, who predeceased her on Feb. 10, 1998.
Lillian was the District Clerk at New Berlin Central School for 15 years prior to her retirement on July 1, 1981.
She is survived by her children, Carl E. Chapin of Morrisville and Joanne M. Talamo of Oswego, as well as as six grandchildren, Eric Clark; Katie & Mike Chapin; Kristin (Chapin) Rogers and Erin & Brian Talamo and two great grandchildren, Logan & Ella Rogers. She was predeceased by one son, William Chapin.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, New Berlin, with the Very Reverend Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home LP of New Berlin.
