OXFORD – Linda H. Dumond, 66, of Oxford, passed away on Jan. 3, 2011 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City.
She was born on Sept. 29, 1944 in Norwich the daughter of the late Lewis and Thelma (Harvey) Horton. On June 22, 1963 in Oxford, she married Robert D. Dumond, who passed away on Sept. 15, 2002.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Sharon Horton of Oxford; her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Keith Dumond of Bainbridge, and Elaine and Clifford Becker of Norwich and a very special friend, Gloria Davis of Oxford. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Linda and Bob enjoyed traveling when able to. She loved her farm and the animals on the farm.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday from the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, with the Rev. John Martin, pastor of the Oxford United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford FD Emergency Squad or the American Cancer Society.
