EARLVILLE – Alan R. Clark, 59, of East Main St., passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born April 29, 1951 in Norwich, a son of Richard C. and Muriel Mills Clark. He was a graduate of Sherburne-Earlville High School and the Vale Technical Institute in Blairsville, Pa. On Sept. 8, 1973, Alan married Jinene M. Holt in Earlville. A life long Earlville resident, Alan was an installation technician for Time Warner Cable, servicing the local area. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, trapping, hunting, camping, fishing, kayaking and canoeing. As a member of the Boy Scout Troop #105 in his youth, he learned to love the Adirondacks and was able to pursue his enjoyment of them through the Adirondack Mountain Club, Fire Tower Trails Saratoga Chapter of Glens Falls over the last ten years.
Surviving are his wife, Jinene; his parents, Richard and Muriel Clark of Earlville; children, Janelle and Ben Morse of Hamilton and Jason W. Clark of Earlville; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and David Morton of Tucson, Ariz.; brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Donna Clark of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Olivia and Alison Morse; his brothers-in law and sisters-in-law, Joanne and Albert Gray of Houston, Texas; Janice Holt of Earlville; Judy and Warren Dunbar of Canastota; Brenda and James Stone of Sherburne; Brian and Jackie Holt of Earlville and John Holt of the Philippines; several aunts and uncles. Also surviving are his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews to whom he was a special uncle. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bernice and Harold Holt.
Funeral services and interment will be private at the convenience of his family.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
