BINGHAMTON – Barbara A. Doyle, 76, of Binghamton, died Monday, Feb. 14, 2011.
She was predeceased by her husband, James P. Doyle; her parents, Merwin and Iola Neish; and a sister, Margaret Laden. She is survived by her children: Patrick and Joanna Doyle, Sheila Doyle, James and Margo Doyle, Maureen and Thomas Giblin, Colleen and Ken Jayne; nine grandchildren: Brian, Kevin, Tom, Anna, Elizabeth, Kate, Shannon, Patrick and Molly; her sister, Joyce and Bob Handy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Michael and Fran Doyle, Dennis and Marilyn Doyle; several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City, and a retired admissions clerk at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Barbara was completely devoted to her children and grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff on South Tower 5 at Wilson Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion shown to Barbara and her family.
A funeral Mass will be offered at St. James Church, Johnson City, at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
