DERUYTER – Kenneth R. Hughes, 79, of DeRuyter, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011.
He was born in Earlville and had retired from DeRuyter Contractors where he was a mason. He was a member of the DeRuyter Fire Dept.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Hughes of Clarksville, Tenn; sons, Randy (Amy) of Lavonia and Bernard (Asprid) of Truxton; a sister, Edna Barber of DeRuyter; a brother, Robert Hughes of Homer along with seven grandchildren.
Kenneth was predeceased by his wife, Virginia, in 1995.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, DeRuyter. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
