PLYMOUTH – Joshua Louis Kampe, 28, of Plymouth, passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon, April 3, 2011, at his home.
Josh was born in Bayshore in October of 1982, the son of William and Lynn Fuchsius Kampe. He was a 2001 graduate of Otselic Valley Central School and a 2009 graduate of Herkimer County Community College, with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. Being with his family was very important to Josh. He enjoyed camping, boating, and the great outdoors. His gift of gab and especially telling jokes was well known to his family and friends. Josh was a 10 year member of Ontario Hose Company of the Norwich Fire Department.
Surviving Josh are his parents, Bill and Lynn, of Plymouth; two brothers, John Kampe, Norwich, and Jason Kampe, Plymouth; his grandmother, Adele Kampe, Long Island; two nieces, McKenzie and Allysson Kampe, both of Plymouth; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 9, from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Randy Sheldon of Norwich officiating. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
