NEW BERLIN – Mark Roy Jones, 48 years old, of New Berlin, passed away at his home on May 30, 2011.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1962 in Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, the son of Clifford R. & Judith (Curtis) Jones.
His childhood was spent in the New Berlin area where he attended New Berlin Central School.
Mark was a self- employed carpenter who loved working in his wood shop. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing with his nephew Dyson.
He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich.
Mark is survived by his parents; his brother, Curtis William Jones of New Berlin; his sister, April Eileen Jones Maxwell, brother-in-law Shawn Maxwell and his nephew Dyson Gavin Jones, all of Delmar.
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Dakin Funeral Home LP of New Berlin, with Pastor Brian Conover of Calvary Baptist Church in Norwich, officiating. The burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., also at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin.
