OXFORD – Felix J. Macklin Jr. 75, a longtime resident of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the University Hospital Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Felix was born May 20, 1936 in Brooklyn, the son of Felix and Evelyn Joseph Macklin, Sr. In August of 1968 in Babylon, LI, he married Josephine Smith, who survives. Felix has made his home in the Oxford area for over 40 years. He was employed by the Overhead Door Co. as an installer and also had worked for Oxford area residents who needed his help.
Felix is survived by his wife Josephine of Oxford, his sisters Patricia and Evelyn and his brother Joseph Macklin. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was predeceased by his sister Maudellen Macklin.
Memorial services for Felix will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Allen Lang, pastor of the Oxford United Methodit Church, will offiicate. Interment will follow in the Warn Ten Broeck Cemetery.
