Karin C. Jenne


SHERBURNE – Karin Collins Jenne, 53 of State Highway 12, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Wilson Memorial Regional Medical Center, Johnson City.
She was born Sept. 24, 1957 in Hamilton, a daughter of John and Alta Ellis Collins. She graduated from Sherburne-Earlville High School and the Central City Business Institute in Syracuse. While in her junior and senior years in high school, Karin worked at Chenango Memorial Hospital. After finishing her education, she worked at Proctor & Gamble in Norwich for over 24 years, and then at NBT Bank in Norwich. On July 8, 2000, Karin married Steven Jenne in Smyrna. She was an outgoing and very active person who enjoyed bowling for many years.
Karin was a member of the Faith Baptist Tabernacle in Sherburne where she had once served as treasurer.
Surviving are her husband, Steven; her parents, John and Alta Collins of Sherburne; mother-in-law, Ruth Jenne of Sherburne; two step-children, Stacy and Danielle; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David and Jane Collins of Sherburne; and Paul Collins of Jacksonville, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew and in-laws. She was predeceased by her father-in-law, Gordon Jenne.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Faith Baptist Tabernacle followed by interment in the Earlville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Monday from 5-7 p.m.
