HAMILTON – Jacqueline Evans Jones, 71, of Hamilton, formerly of Earlville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011 at Crouse Community Center, Morrisville. 
She was born Aug.19, 1939 in Hamilton, a daughter of Harold and Doris Church Evans. She was a graduate of Hamilton High School and received her L.P.N. degree from SUNY Morrisville in 1958. She had worked at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton, St. Luke’s Hospital, New Hartford and the Gerrit Smith Infirmary, Eaton. On May 2, 1959, Jacqueline married Franklin L. Jones in Hamilton. He predeceased her in 1999. An area resident most of her life, she had also lived in Bradenton, Fla. for a while. She was a member of the Park United Methodist Church in Hamilton and the Tabernacle Chorus of Sherburne.
Surviving are her children, Franklin, Jr. and Raynelle Jones, Earlville; Christine and Wayne Brown, Norwich; Karen Lenning, Norwich; Cynthia and Chris Lenning, Sherburne; Carol and Robert VanCourt, Norwich; Jeanann and John Davis, Sherburne; a brother and sister-in-law, L. Vincent and Lynn Evans, Syracuse; sisters, Susan Benedict, Cortland; Patricia Williams, New Mexico. and Judy Evans, Maine; brother-in-law, Robert McCann, Virginia; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, including her special nieces, Charline Buffalini, Earlville and Sharon Jones, Albany; She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine McCann; a son-in-law, George Bump; and a brother-in-law, Carl Benedict.
Friends are invited to call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, Hamilton.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Park United Methodist Church, followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
