SHERBURNE – Mary Danyluk, of South Main St., Sherburne, passed away late Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011 just a few hours before her 94th birthday at the Community Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Hamilton.
She was born Aug. 22, 1917 in East Hampton, LI, a daughter of John and Mary Polasky Davidaitis. She was a resident of Long Island most of her life until moving to Sherburne a few years ago. On April 18, 1936, Mary married Alex Danyluk, who predeceased her in 1988. Mary was a homemaker who also helped her husband in the operation of his gas station in East Hampton. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Alex Jr. and Donna Danyluk of Sherburne; a daughter, Barbara Jacobs of Englewood, Fla.; grandchildren, Jen and Chris Thompson, Alex III and Dara Danyluk, all of Sherburne; great-grandchildren, Marlie and MacKenzie. She was predeceased by two sisters, Josephine and Isabelle.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be private at the convenience of her family.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service.
