NORWICH – Harold W. Stevens Sr., 74, of Johnson City, born in Norwich,passed away on Aug. 27, 2011.
Harold is survived by his children: Debbie Roser (Bill), Whitney Point; Penny Hurlbut (Chuck),Vestal; Skeet Stevens, Binghamton; Roberta Layton (Don), Brisben and Scott Stevens (Jackie), Vestal. Harold is predeceased by his parents Herbert and Cora (Donnelly) Stevens and siblings; Carrie, Linda, Percy and Janet. Surviving siblings are his triplet brothers Herbert and Hubert, Katherine, Doris, Dorothy, Leonard, Leona, Rita, Retha, Norman, Kay and Diane. Harold has 21 grandchildren; Heather, Donnie, Justin, Jamie, Todd, Autumn, Nick, Ryan, McKayla, Madison, Ashley, Geoffrey, Jereme, Cody, Zac, Mya, Maxx, Jaiden, Briannah, Ricky and Clara.
Harold was a dairy farmer for 22 years and worked for the Binghamton Psychiatric Center until retirement. Dallas football and NASCAR were his favorite pastimes.
Our family would like to thank the staff at JGJ nursing home for their kind and compassionate care.
Private burial services will be held later. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Root Funeral Home 23 N. Chenango Street, Greene. Pastor William Reid will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date. Friends of the family may call Friday from 10 am until the time of service at Root Funeral Home.
