SIDNEY – Carrie (Hallock) Lally, 88, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sept. 13, 2011, surrounded by family, at the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Born and raised in Sidney Center, Carrie was a founding member of the Maywood Historical Group, an avid photographer, a piano teacher to many students young and old, and the organist for over 70 years at the Sidney Center United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ed, and is survived by her daughter, Anna; two sons, Joseph and John; their spouses; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A “Memorial Celebration” is being planned for Sunday, Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. As per her wishes, the service will be held at the Sidney Center Baptist Church. Donations in Carrie’s memory may be made to the Maywood Historical Group, P.O. Box 298, Sidney Center, NY 13839.
