NORWICH – Donald James Green, 73, formerly of Norwich and most recently of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 in the Absolut Care Nursing Center of Endicott.
Don was born in January of 1938 in South Otselic, where he grew up and attended the local school. In December of 1972 in Norwich he married Rosemary Oralls, who survives. While living in Norwich, Don had worked on several area farms, the Norwich Knitting Mills, the Norwich Shoe Co., Victory Markets and was a bus driver for CWS and Opportunities for Chenango.
Don is survived by his wife Rosemary of Johnson City as well as several other family members.
Funeral services for Don will be held at 1 p.m. Friday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford, Pastor of the Earlville Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in the J.D. Lewis Cemetery of Preston.
There will be no calling hours.
