EATON – Katherine M. Sterle, 95, of Bradley Brook Road, passed away Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Utica.
She was born in Islin, Pa. on April 7, 1916, a daughter of Mark and Anna Butry Mussision, and received her education in local schools. She married Dannie J. Sterle, who predeceased her on July 8, 1980. Katherine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and assisted her husband in the operation of their dairy farm.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mary Sterle of Eaton; three sisters, Rosie Knasick and Eva Campbell of Earlville and Ann Adale of Sherburne; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by daughter Mary Bliss; two brothers, Frank Musician and Charlie Mussision; and two sisters, Helen Parker and Mary Jenne.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Interment was held in the Eaton Village Cemetery.
