NORWICH – Stephen M. Wright Sr., 59, of Norwich, has gone to the heavens above on Oct. 15, 2011 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Steve was born in Norwich on March 12, 1952, the son of Raymond and Frances Prentice Wright. He spent his entire life in the area and had attended the Norwich and Oxford schools. On Dec. 22, 1984 in North Norwich he married Robin Maxson. Over the years Steve had worked for the Norwich Knitting Mill, the Town of North Norwich Highway Dept., had driven cab in the city of Norwich and had also worked for Little Ceasars Pizza.
Steve was a hard working husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and also enjoyed working around his home.
Steve is survived by his wife Robin of Norwich; his children Christina Wright, Stephen Wright Jr. and his wife Nicole all of Norwich, Misty Huntley and her husband Robert of Beaver Meadow, Bobbi-Jo Woodbeck and her husband Daryl and Stephanie Wright all of Norwich; his grandchildren Dakota and Summer Woodbeck, Donnelldo Sparky Madrid Jr., Curtis and Casey Wright, Courtney Badeaux, Evan, Jacob, Kirstein, Jennifer and Ashley Wright, Derek Wright and Robert and Katie Huntley. Also surviving is his sister Tammy Towndrow of Norwich; his brothers Robert Wright and wife Shirley of Oxford, John Wright and wife Tina, Tom Towndrow and wife Angel; his mother-in-law Bonnie Palmer of Norwich; and his sister-in-law Linda Wright. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Steve was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Frances, brothers Alvin and James Wright, sisters Sonja Towndrow and Beverly Smith.
There will be a family gathering at Steve and Robins home at a later date.
Arrangements are with the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
