Marie Maynard


NORWICH – Marie Maynard, 65, of German Holllow Rd., Norwich, passed away Sat. evening, Nov. 19, 2011 at her home.
Marie was born in Norwich the daughter of Howard and Doris Steward Park in Feb. of 1946. She grew up in the Sherburne and North Norwich area and was a graduate of the Sherburne High School. On May 25, 1985 she married Walter Maynard who survives.
Devoted to her family, Marie was there for them in good time and bad. She always enjoyed her cooking and baking and was always ready to whip up everyone’s favorite dish. In her quiet time she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and reading.
Marie is survived by her husband Walter, her children Howard Whitney and his wife Kari of Leominster, Mass., Terri Lewis and husband Roland of So. New Berlin, Connie Lewis and husband Brian of New Berlin and Sheridan Maynard of Sherburne, her brothers Warren Park and wife Patricia of Virginia, Nelson Park and wife Linda of So. New Berlin, her grandchildren Andrew Lewis, Matthew Lewis, Alecia Beckwith, Courtney Lewis, Tyler Lewis, Gabrielle Whitney, Dani Dibble, Michael Maynard and Alysa Maynard. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Urijah and Gavin Dibble and Isabella Ray and a special niece Debbie Granger. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Marie was predeceased by her sister Janette Smith and her brothers Wayne and Larry Park.
A Celebration of Marie’s life will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the family home, 178 German Hollow Rd, Norwich.
