EARLVILLE – William Ryfinski Jr. 63, of Craine Lake Rd., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at home.
He was born April 24, 1948 in Utica, a son of the late William, Sr. and Victoria F. Radivon Ryfinski. A lifelong Earlville resident, he was a graduate of Earlville High School. Bill was a true entrepreneur, who had a diversified career. At an early age he was the owner and operator of a gas station. He also owned Chenango Sporting Goods in Norwich and later W.R. Supply in Earlville. He was also involved in real estate and was a real estate agent. Most recently, he was a logger. Bill was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton; and was on the Board of the Hamilton Food Pantry.
Surviving is his companion, Shirley Campbell of Earlville; an aunt, Agnes Ryfinski of Earlville; his cousins, Edith Van Wagner of Sherburne; Mary Emano of Ballston Spa; Irene Hungerford of Fineview, NY; Kris Gough of Ottawa, Canada; Jeanette Betka and Robert Betka, both of Endwell; and a special friend, Michael Wiggins of Vestal.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by interment in St. Malachy’s Cemetery, Sherburne.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
