NORWICH – Mrs. Norma B. Haggerty, 80, of Belleview, Fla., passed away on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Illion, and grew up in Norwich, then moved to Belleview in 2005 from Branford, Fla. She worked for over 40 years of service as a collections clerk with several hospitals. She was a devoted member of the Belleview Christian Church; a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter of Norwich; and loved reading, shopping, cooking, traveling, knitting, her dog “Toby,” but most of all, loved spending time with her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gladys Benton, and her brother, Richard Benton.
Norma is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, John W. Haggerty of Belleview, Fla.; her three daughters: Kathleen E. Haggerty of Ocala, Fla., Victoria B. Geist of Belleview, Fla. and Rebecca E. Gray of Horseheads; her four grandchildren: Casey Maness, Tyler and Lindsay Geist and Seth Nuetzi; also a great-granddaughter, Ivy Maness.
