Michele Wust


GREENE – Michele C. “Shelly” Wust, 51, of Greene, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 14, 2011 at her home.
She was born on April 5, 1960 at Bassett Hospital Cooperstown, the daughter of Milton and Janet (Sprague) Davis.
Her childhood was spent in Edmeston, where she was a 1978 graduate of Edmeston Central School.
She was currently employed by Oneonta Exit Realty after 25 years of farming and 23 years as a family care provider. Her passion was her family, children and grandchildren.
Shelly was active in the Otsego County 4H and in her spare time enjoyed the great outdoors, hiking, kayaking, hunting, archery, riding 4-wheeler and fishing. She looked forward to her yearly hunting trip to Colorado.
She is survived by her mother; Janet Davis and husband Richard Leonhardt, her first husband; Richard Wust Sr.; her fiancée; Eric Keller and her children; Richard Wust Jr and his wife Jan, Crystal Wust, Heather Wust and Cara Wust and her significant other, Randall Thomas. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Landon and Lucas Wust and Sire Champen, two sisters; Karen Lottridge and Nadine Wust and one brother, Michael Davis as well as her beloved dog, Abby and many extended family members.
Shelly was predeceased by her father, Milton Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the funeral service also at the funeral home.
