EAST PHARSALIA – Robert Edward “Gradall Bob” Fornal, of East Pharsalia, formerly of New Windsor, entered into rest on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012. He was 67.
The son of Peter and the late Mary (Chum) Fornal of New Windsor, he was born on August 26, 1944 in Newburgh. Bob attended Newburgh schools and served briefly in the Navy. On Dec. 5, 1970 he married Marsha Wood, who survives at home.
Bob retired from Local 825 Operating Engineers after 40 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a past member of Black Rock Fish and Game Club and the snowmobile club “Trail Hounds.”
Bob could always brighten a room with his great smile and humorous ways. He will surely be missed beyond words by family and friends.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 41years Marsha; one daughter, Melissa, and her husband, Jim Meehan, of the Town of Newburgh; two sisters, Linda Chisholm, of New Windsor, and Mary Gail, and her husband, Torry Faurot, of New Windsor; two nephews, Christopher, and his wife, Michele, and their three children, and Michael, and his son; and of course his beloved boxer “Joker.”
There will be a memorial service at a later date, to be announced by the family.
