SHERBURNE – Rosa Anna Day, 88, of Chapel St., passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at Community Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Hamilton.
She was born Jan. 17, 1924 in Sherburne, a daughter of Frank and Florence LaDau Giaquinto and was a graduate of Sherburne High School. On July 5, 1964, Rosa Anna married John C. Day Jr. in Sherburne. She had worked at T.A.C.O in Sherburne for several years, and then devoted her life to caring for her family.
Rosa was a former member of the American Legion Post #876 Auxiliary and the Sherburne Fire Department Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, John; and a son, John Robert Day of Sherburne; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. She was predeceased by a brother, John E. Giaquinto in World War II.
In keeping with her wishes, services will be private at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, with interment in West Hill Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
