HALCOTTSVILLE – Mark A. Daniels, 47, of Halcottsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday morning, Feb. 14, 2012 at his home.
Mark was born in Norwich on July 23, 1964, the son of Francis and Loretta Brisack Daniels. He spent most of his life in Halcottsville where he attended the local schools. He has worked for many years with his dad and brother in the family business, Daniels Masonry, as a stone mason.
Mark loved to hunt, fish and trap. Young Vinny Prior, saw the bear Mark caught, but when he got there never saw the bear again. He also caught coyotes, foxes, coon and bobcats. Mark was very impressed with the girls at the Dollar General Store because they all knew him by name. Over the years Mark had mixed many batches of masonry cement with his dad and brother for the jobs the did all over Delaware County.
Mark is survived by his parents Francis and Loretta Brisack Daniels, his brother Kipp all of Halcottsville, his maternal grandmother Hilda Brisack of Unadilla and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service for Mark will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Romeyn Kipp, pastor of the Holmesville Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in the Riverside Cemetery of South New Berlin.
