GREENE – Margaret Barrow, age 91, of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. formerly of Greene, passed away Feb. 17, 2012 at the Ocean View Nursing Center.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Robert E. Barrows and Ray Terry; brothers, Lester and Leonard Downs and daughter Florence Martin. She is survived by her sons; David, Carl and Marcel Barrows all of New York; and daughters, Lorraine Van Eaton of Arizona, Yvonne Barrows of South Carolina, Bonita Barrows and Vickie Manwarren of Florida and stepdaughter, Linda Dodd of New York; also many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Margaret retired from Scintilla, Sidney, after 20 years. She was also owner/operator of the Greene Airport for many years. People enjoyed her great cooking and hospitality at the Greene Airport Inn. She loved to quilt, garden and paint and had a keen knowledge of birds and trees. Above all she loved her family and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
