McDONOUGH – Morris Sherman Barnes, 89, of Muskegon, Mich., passed on Friday, April 27, 2012.
Morris was born March 28, 1923, in McDonough, the son of Harold and Elma Sherman Barnes. He graduated from Norwich High School, class of 1941 and was captain of the 1941 Norwich football team. He married Marjorie F. Wolfe in Norfolk, Va. in 1945 and moved to Muskegon in 1946. He graduated from Muskegon Business College 1951. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II in the Mediterranean.
Morris is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Muskegon; one daughter and three sons; three brothers and one sister and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
