WALTER AUCHMOODY
SOUTH OTSELIC – Walter F. Auchmoody, 64, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, in Wilson Hospital of Johnson City.
Walter was the son of Robert and Harriet Jandrow Auchmoody. He was born on Dec. 9, 1942, in Hartford, Vermont, and grew up in the White River Junction area of Vermont, later living in Yonkers and Pleasantville. He moved to South Otselic in 1968 when he became employed by the Gladding Corporation, then lived for a time in Hagerstown, Maryland, before returning to South Otselic. For the past 20 years, Walter had made his home in the Binghamton area and was employed by the National Pipeline and Plastic Co. of Vestal.
Walter is survived by his children: Yvette Auchmoody of Maryland, and Michael John Auchmoody and Jina Auchmoody, both of Yonkers; by his sisters: Charlotte Catalino of Norwich, Marjorie Herbert of Plymouth, and Sharon Westcott of South Plymouth; and by his brothers, David Hamsley of Norwich and Warren Auchmoody of Marathon. He is also survived by his aunt, and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Walter will be held in the spring of 2007 from the Maple Grove Cemetery of South Otselic. The Rev. Jeremy Stopford will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
