HUBBARDSVILLE – Roland B. “Pinky” Shaul, 73, of Hamilton Manor, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hamilton.
Born Oct. 25, 1933 in the Town of Minden, he was a son of Harry and Gladys Christman Shaul, and received his education in Earlville schools. Pinky worked for I.L. Richer Feed Co. at Woods Corners in Norwich until his retirement in 1993. He was of the Methodist faith. Pinky was a well known “wheat” penny collector and enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Bob Niles of Lebanon; a brother, Percy Shaul of Newnan, Ga.; two nieces, Robin Wilson of Earlville and Terry Delude of Utica; a nephew, Mark Shaul of Hamilton; great nephews, Michael Wilson, Jr. of Earlville; Steven and David Shaul of Georgia; and Jeff Delude of Utica. Three brothers, Dean, Glenn and Howard Shaul, and a nephew, Matt Shaul predeceased him.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Willcox Cemetery, Town of Smyrna.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
