GREENE – Milo E. Whitmarsh, 95, of Greene, passed away on Tuesday at Valley View Nursing Home in Norwich.
He was predeceased by his nephew, Tony Lum and brothers, Guy, Harold, Tom, Lute, Percy, Elmer, Charlie and Clayt. Milo is survived by his niece, Cindy Lum and family, Joe (Jenn) Lum, Amber Lum; nephew, Floyd Whitmarsh and family Brian (Jodi) Whitmarsh; sister Ellen Quarella; two brothers, Robert and Howard Whitmarsh, several nieces and nephews.
Mike was born on the family farm on Echo Lake Road and spent his whole life working there. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, playing pitch and porch sitting.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Root Funeral Home, 23 N. Chenango Street, Greene. Burial will be in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery, Greene. Friends of the family may call Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service at Root Funeral Home.
