NORWICH – Naomi Jorgensen, 42, of Norwich, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born July 25, 1969, Naomi was the daughter of Peter and Anna (Fazio) Lonstein, who predeceased her. For a number of years, Naomi worked as computer technician for the International Red Cross in Louisville, KY.
Naomi is survived by her sons, Michael Jorgensen and his fiancée MaryLou Rowe, of Norwich, and Thom Jorgensen, of Louisville, KY; sisters, Ava Gardeneer, of Athol, MA, Debbie (Robert) Ezzell, of Portsmouth, ME, Martha (Ken) Lonstein, of Norwich, and Sarah (Ross) Aiken of Putney, VT. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the second floor staff of the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center as well as the staff of Hospice of Chenango County for their care and kindnesses.
A memorial service for Naomi will be held at noon Saturday at the Broad Street United Methodist Church, with Rev. Nancy Hale, pastor, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
