OXFORD – Elizabeth “Betty” Cullipher, 82, of Oxford, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 30, 2012.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1929 to the late Clarence and Marie (Nightengale) Hunter. She is survived by her children Charlotte Armlin, Cheryl Bartle, Raymond Abbott, Leonard Abbott, Gene McKee, and Angus Cullipher.
Her childhood education came from a one-room school house in McDonough. But her life experiences were gained from her love of travel. Her journey took her around the country, and she proudly claimed to have lived in every state in the U.S., except for Hawaii and California. She also loved a good card game, and enjoyed crocheting. But most of all she loved her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford, with her son Raymond Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, McDonough.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting www.behefuneralhome.com.
