NORWICH – Linda E. Huhta, age 63, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 following a valiant struggle with breast cancer.
Linda was born in Norwich on Feb. 20, 1949, the daughter of Charles & Julia (Currie) Myers Sr. On Feb. 4, 1984, Linda married Stephen Huhta in Owego, New York.
Linda is survived by her husband: Stephen Huhta, Waupaca, WI; her son: Donald Huhta, Phoenix, AZ; her father: Charles Myers, Sr., Norwich; her sisters: Catherine Eagan, Tulsa, OK and Janet Thompson, Norwich and her brothers: Daniel Myers, Niverville & Charles Myers, Jr., Norwich. Linda is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia.
A Private Memorial Visitation will be at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Linda’s name at Holly Funeral Home, P.O. Box 254, Waupaca, WI 54981.
Linda was very proud of the fact that her Dad survived being a prisoner of war in Romania during World War II, so the memorial fund will be divided between the Wounded Warriors Project and the Community Hospice Foundation of Waupaca.
