NORTH NORWICH – Martin L. “Louie” VanSteinburg, 37, of North Norwich, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
Louie was born in Norwich on Oct. 27, 1974, the son of Charles L. and Rebecca Martin VanSteinburg. He grew up in the North Norwich area and attended the Sherburne schools. A hard worker all of his life, Louie had formerly worked for Dowdall’s Landscape Service. He was currently employed by Westcott - Simpson of Sherburne, where he has worked for over 15 years:
A person with a funny sense of humor, Louie enjoyed telling stories about himself and always saw the humorous side of anything.
Louie is survived by his daughter Kennedy Rose Binelli of Albany; his mother Rebecca Sabin and husband Steve of Sherburne; his sisters Laureen VanSteinburg of Sherburne, Noelle VanSteinburg of Norwich; his brothers Charles VanSteinburg and wife Wendy of Maryland, Raymond VanSteinburg, Alan VanSteinburg and companion Shannon Palmer all of Sherburne and William VanSteinburg of Oxford. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Louie was predeceased by his father Charles L. VanSteinburg.
A celebration of life for Louie will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 am from the RJ. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. George Gallandorm, pastor of the Sherburne United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the North Norwich Cemetery.
